Our intern group typically celebrates birthdays by going out to a family style dinner. So on February 13th I created a small WeChat group to plan out my birthday meal. The resulting conversation and subsequent dinner provided some much needed laughter.
Suggestions and banter flooded the chat for several minutes until Alex read one of my WeChat Moments out loud to Jenna who in turn, sent it to the group, thinking Alex had made it up on the spot.
"Let's honor Phil by saying Phil quotes and giving other people credit," came the entirely reasonable suggestion. So that's what they did.
Of course, I joined in too.
Our meal was awesome, even if we did talk about the phrase "taking a dump" for an unnecessarily long period of time.
As we waited for our food to arrive, my friends presented me with a collection of hand colored (and some hand drawn) Birthday/Valentines day cards. They now adorn my office wall. (And the bottom of this post.)
