In late 2009 I was asked to build some bookshelves for a family friend. They planned to give the shelves to their parents, who were also friends of our family. I was given nice oak wood to work with and in the course of a few weeks I finished two (almost) identical shelves for them to use for photo albums or other books.
The shelf design was inspired by the end table and coffee table in the recipient’s living room. The shelf top is slanted and can be used to display open photo albums.
As usual, clicking on a photo will open that photo in flickr, the popular photo website.
