All I have to say is that it’s about time. I’ve been saying they should do this for the past three years.

The mind blowing concept of the month:
Think about that — in just nine years, the specs that then described Apple’s top-of-the-line desktop computer now describe their phone.

John Gruber posted a review of several different Twitter Web Apps for the iPhone. I’m glad I’m not the only one who is not satisfied with many of the web apps out there.

Hot off the twitter feed, by John Gruber:
I’d sooner attempt to fashion my own homebrew HDMI cable out of melted pennies and hollowed-out Slim Jims than pay $60 for one at Best Buy.
I just wish Best Buy would catch on that most of their potential customers feel this way.
Now think about this. These same customers asked Microsoft for the same thing — simplicity — and what did the Borg give them? A new version of Word that has more buttons than the dashboard on the space shuttle. You need a pilot’s license to use it. Have you seen it? It’s incredible. First time someone showed me the interface I thought it was a spoof, like that fake ad about what an iPod box would look like if Microsoft made it.
Had a bit of free time to play with an idea I’ve had for quite awhile now. And it’s now on YouTube.
I had a very pleasant surprise today at work. 11 minutes and 40 seconds into the Daily GizWiz podcast, I heard the letter I sent in to Dick read on the air (well, podcast). It made my day.

When we compare strictly common, everyday, basic user tasks between the Mac Plus and the AMD we find remarkable similarities in overall speed, thus it can be stated that for the majority of simple office uses, the massive advances in technology in the past two decades have brought zero advance in productivity. And that’s just plain crazy.
No wonder I don’t seem to be getting anything done.
It’s funny, I was just lamenting this very thing not two days ago.
