“Time for my meds!”

“Do you mix your meds?”

“I mix my metaphors.”

“Like with similes?”

“It’s pronounced ‘Smilies’.”

“The little sugar candies?”

“Yeah. The ones in the little clear roll that have different colors but only one flavor.”

“Like M&Ms.”

“Melt in your mouth and not in your hand.”

“Unlike the rest of all candy.”

“Like the recess candies?”

“And the gobstoppers.”

“I think you’re thinking of the God Fathers.”

“No, you’re thinking of the forefathers.”

“You have four fathers?”

“Doesn’t everyone?”

“I have four feathers…”

“But you flock separately?”

“They’re all pens.”

“Those are called quills.”

“Dr. Quills?”

“DayQuil.”

“Right. Medicines.”
