My Lost iPod.

I have a pair of kaki pants that I rarely ware. I got them for a purpose a few years back, and while they are nice pants, I just never feel like they fit my style. Four months ago, I wore these pants. I haven’t worn them sense. Actually, I don’t even know if they have been washed since.

Today, I accidentally grabbed this pair of pants, thinking it was a different pair of dress pants. As my hands closed around the fabric, I felt a thin hard substance, which, upon further investigation, proved to be my missing iPod.  The battery was dead, but I hooked it up to my computer and it began charging immediately. I don’t know if it went through the wash or not, but I have my iPod back and it’s working great!

New Search Feature

Well, I’ve had several people comment about how the search on my site is broken, so I finally decided to do something about it. As of the other day, clicking on the “Search” link in the header, will take you to a separate search page, which will launch a Google Search of my site. Better yet, it will also search my Photo Blog and Land of Chaos.net as well, so if you can’t remember what site it was on, you can still find it.

It does create one extra level of clickage, meaning that the search box is on a page of it’s own now, but I like the look and feel of this new setup, so I think I’m going to keep it around for awhile.

Enjoy!

Fake Steve Jobs on Microsoft Office

Now think about this. These same customers asked Microsoft for the same thing — simplicity — and what did the Borg give them? A new version of Word that has more buttons than the dashboard on the space shuttle. You need a pilot’s license to use it. Have you seen it? It’s incredible. First time someone showed me the interface I thought it was a spoof, like that fake ad about what an iPod box would look like if Microsoft made it.

xkcd what?

Browsing through some FaceBook links that my “friends” have on their profiles, I came across this site. I must say, I have become a fan. I really liked this one:
